Welcome!Welcome to Nanjing International School on the outskirts of the historic ancient Southern (Nan) Capital (Jing) of China. We at NIS are committed to developing the Arts for our students by providing them with the best teachers, great facilities and opportunities for cultural growth through the arts. This year the ISTA event on our campus is one of a number of events we are hosting for students from around the Asia region which coincides with our 20th anniversary.
In many Western countries the ʻCoffee Shopʼ has become a ubiquitous part of social life. Like so many Western traditions, they are not actually Western, but they are borrowed from the traditions of the East. The ʻTea Houseʼ in many East Asian countries has a cultural importance which is profound. I would love to think that NIS is the educational equivalent of the traditional Tea House, not institutional, but communal - a place to share, understand, laugh and cry. Welcome.
